How To Make a Pickled Fish Recipe: A Step-by-Step Guide

Heat the oil well in a large frying pan over medium-high heat, then season the fish with salt and fry well in the hot oven until the fish is completely browned and flakes easily with a fork, let it cook for about 7 minutes, then transfer to a plate.

Now add the onion and garlic to the pan and cook over medium heat for about 6 minutes. Add the chilies, bay leaves, black pepper, and allspice berries, then add the vinegar and water and bring to a boil. Stir in the brown sugar well until dissolved.

Pickled Fish Recipe Cooking Directions

Season with curry powder, cumin, coriander, and turmeric. Arrange layers of fish and pickle mixture in a serving dish. Pour the pickling liquid over it to cover the top layer. Let it cool at room temperature, for about 40 minutes.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 25 hours before serving. Pack a quart glass jar, making sure to layer each item well. Then add a layer of chopped onion and black pepper. Delicious is ready. Serve with chutney and enjoy.

1 2 cups red wine vinegar.
2 1 cup of water.
3 4 medium onions, chopped.
4 1 teaspoon of salt.
5 1 teaspoon ground ginger.
6 1 teaspoon ground turmeric.
7 1 teaspoon of spices.
8 3 tablespoons apricot jam.
9 Peach sauce 3 tbsp.
10 2 tablespoons of raw sugar.
11 Fish.
12 Flour as needed.
