Nixon Chicken Recipe: Casserole Street Style And Delicious Recipe

We used chicken breast that I cooked in my Instant Pot, but rotisserie chicken works great. You can also boil the chicken breast. Broccoli florets are the perfect veggie ingredient to make a casserole a complete stand-alone meal. I used sharp cheddar cheese in this one. Use your favorite mayonnaise. It adds to the richness and creaminess of this dish. Cream of Mushroom Soup This ingredient helps bind the casserole together and adds a nice flavor. The egg makes the casserole easier to put together and serve during the baking process.
Chopped Onion The original recipe calls for 3 tablespoons of chopped onion. Steam the broccoli until tender, about 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix soup, eggs, cheese, onion, mayonnaise and chicken well. Place half the broccoli in a 10-inch square baking pan or casserole dish and pour half the soup mixture over it. Place the rest of the broccoli on the top layer, then pour the remaining soup mixture over it to make 2 layers. Bake for 30-40 minutes, until golden brown. The Yummy Nixon Chicken recipe is ready.
