Sausage balls are a popular and popular appetizer everywhere – especially in the South – the most popular recipe starts with Bisqueak baking mix, cheddar cheese, and ground sausage. The ingredients are mixed together, formed into balls, and then baked. I started making sausage balls with dough instead of squeak like this. Now here is the recipe for sausage balls with this dough.

Not only is it one of my favorite holiday treats, but eating it is nostalgic and brings back so many fun memories. The traditional original recipe also uses only sausage, bisque, and cheddar cheese. While I love the traditional Bisquick Sausage Ball recipe, I don’t like the ingredients in the baking mix, and I also feel that it’s a bit too floury for my taste. I also like to enhance the flavor with some more seasonings.

Sausage Balls Without Bisquick Composition

They are delightful, flavorful, and so delicious! They are made with simple ingredients and are free of all the added hydrogenated oils that are often slathered in bisque or pancake mixes. Sausage balls are the perfect event food, appetizer, and snack that almost everyone will love! In a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients, flour, salt, pepper, garlic, and cayenne until well combined. Then add the grated cheese and butter to the kvass and stir until the cheese batter is well blended. Add flour and cheese to room-temperature breakfast sausage.

Using your hands, carefully mix the sausage and flour together until it forms a ball. At first, it will be messy and you may think it won’t come together, but in the end, I promise. It will just take a little time and deep lubrication. If you don’t want to exercise your arm, you can also use a stand mixer or food processor to mix everything together. Place the sausage ball mixture in the bowl of a stand mixer and start using the flour here is a recipe for delicious sausage and cheese balls!

1 1 cup flour all-purpose or gluten-free 1 to 1.2 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder.3 Salt is all you need.4 ¼ teaspoon black pepper.5 ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper.6 ½ teaspoon garlic powder.7 2 c sharp cheddar cheese.8 2 tablespoons butter, melted.9 4 cups shredded cheddar.10 Milk is all you need.
